Welcome at Carcès
We are delighted to welcome you to our villa "Les Barayons" and we hope that you will have a wonderful stay.
The villa is an old vintner's house, which has been renovated and enlarged. It is located on a 13,000m2 property in the middle of the winegrowing area of Provence. The view from the house is one of uninterrupted rolling hills stretching several miles.
We have endeavored to provide you with a most relaxing vacation.
The house contains four bedrooms of different sizes:
the Almond room has a double bed (full size)
the Vanilla room is smaller and is furnished with bunk beds
the Raspberry room is a family size bedroom with bunk beds and a double bed (full size)
the Blueberry room has a double bed (full size) and a balcony with a view of the vineyard.
In addition, a fold-up (umbrella) bed is available for a baby.
Blankets are provided but bed sheets are your responsibility.
There are two full size bathrooms at your disposal, the downstairs one is outfitted with a tub, while the upstairs one has a shower stall.
In order to minimize any of your household chores, the kitchen is fully equipped with electrical appliances : a dishwasher , a four-burner stove, a hot air oven, a microwave oven, a toaster, a refrigerator, a freezer, and an electric coffeemaker; the laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer.
The dining room seats ten people comfortably and has a working cast iron stove to ward off any chill.
The living room has satellite TV and a DVD tape deck. Although there is no landline for telephone service, cell phone reception is very good.
A wooded area of about one Ha invites you to hunt for wild asparagus and truffles at the foot of the oak trees. A roofed terrace, which is open on three sides, has a barbecue pit, challenging you to serve up your best grilled dishes in the shade. The orchard provides you with all manner of seasonal fruit: apples, pears, quince, cherries, almonds, grapes, and olives.
Finally, you can relax in the pool! It measures 10m by 5m, by 1,80m and is outfitted with an alarm system which detects any disturbance in the water. However, we want to sound a note of caution: nothing replaces a parent's watchful eye! Never leave your children alone and make sure that they wear the necessary safety equipment!
